Informal leadership for the work of the think tank is provided by Waipa District Council. A number of other councils are providing insights for and drawing on the work of the think tank.
Currently the think tank is being reconstituted as an incorporated charitable trust to be known as The Trust for Local Democracy. Once this happens individual councils and other interested stakeholders will be asked to become members broadly following practice with well-established English think tanks such as New Local.
Our aim is to get as many councils involved as possible. A number have already signalled their interest. We would love your organisation to join too.
To find out how you and your Council can become a member, you can get in touch with us here.
